HTC U12 Plus: Datasheet reveals almost all the details

A datasheet of the HTC U12 Plus has surfaced in China. It reveals almost all the features of the new HTC top model. An Android smartphone powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of RAM is expected, featuring a compact 5.5-inch display with the super-sharp QuadHD + resolution, two powerful dual cameras, and Edge Sense 2 can be operated. The official launch of the U12 Plus is expected later this month.
Rendering photos of the new HTC flagship U12 have already been leaked, now appeared in China a data sheet of the U12 Plus, which reveals almost all the specs of the new model. The drive unit is therefore on top speed level: The Octa-core SoC Snapdragon 845 plus 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory are installed according to the information sheet. The internal memory can also be supplemented by microSD card by up to 2 TB.

Four cameras are installed

The HTC novelty has a display in the slender 18.5: 9 format, which is quite compact at 5.5 inches. Nevertheless, with its QuadHD + resolution (2960 x 1440 pixels), it offers a super sharp detail. Above the display is a dual camera with two 8-megapixel sensors installed. The dual camera has optical image stabilizer and HDR capabilities. There is also a dual camera on the back. The primary camera has a 12 mepapixel sensor with Ultrapixel4 technology, a particularly fast autofocus, an optical image stabilizer and a high-speed lens (f / 1.5). The secondary camera is equipped with a 16 megapixel sensor.

Robust housing to IP 68

Below the camera unit a fingerprint sensor can be found. The operating system is presumably Android 8.0 preinstalled. Edging control also works on the HTC U11 successor, with HTC incorporating the second generation Edge Sense in the new model . The U12 Plus has a dust and water -protected housing (IP 68) and a rechargeable battery that can be recharged via Quick-Charge 4.0+ . The energy storage can also be filled wirelessly via Qi standard. The HTC U12 Plus will be unveiled in April. HTC has not yet specified a specific date.
